StorySLAM

The StorySLAM is a live storytelling competition in the vein of poetry slams. Storytellers (slammers) have 5 minutes each to tell a story, based on the theme: grit. The stories must be true and memorized. Only a few slammers will be picked from a hat to compete. This competition is open to the public and will be held on Friday, May 5th, at OP Rockwells, 268 Main St, Park City, UT, at 6:15pm.

Jon Henry was the founding member of the Park City Toastmasters Club. By the time of his passing, Jon had achieved his Advanced Communicator Gold Award and the Advanced Leader Bronze Award. He had presented numerous workshops at the Toastmaster Leadership Institutes and the District Conference. He won the District Evaluation Contest in 2009 and the Division Tall Tale Contest in 2008. He also taught presentation skills in public schools and to companies and organizations like Deloitte/HP; he was a speech coach & mentor. Jon Henry was an amazing man, and the world is a much dimmer place without him.
