How to join

Membership is open to anyone who wants to improve their leadership and communication skills. All that is required is to actively participate in meetings.

Visit the club…

Visit the club as a guest, where you will have the opportunity to see first hand how the club meetings are run and learn about the benefits of being a member of toastmasters. You can also complete our e-mail contact form to get more information even before you attend.

Obtain an application…

Obtain an application from the VP of Membership, another Board member, or download it here.

Pay dues and return the application…

There is an initial $80 to join the club. The cost includes a $20 fee to Toastmasters International (registration and speech manuals) and $60 in dues for your first six months of Park City Toastmasters memberships. It is $10 a month in dues thereafter. We typically collect dues in six month or one year intervals.

Return the completed application, along with a check made out to the Park City Toastmasters Club for $80, to our Treasurer.

Start speaking…

Start speaking. The VP of Education and VP of Membership will assist you in filling roles and scheduling your speeches. Your first manual will arrive in the mail in several weeks. In the mean time, the VP of Membership will provide a copy of your first speech requirements until your manuals arrive..

Choose a mentor…

We used to assign mentors who will help you get started and serve as a coach to help you with your speeches, but we found that mentorship requires initiative on both sides and taking the step to ask someone to mentor you makes a big difference. So instead of assigning people, members are encouraged to approach other members to help mentor them on their Toastmaster journey. A mentor not only helps you acclimate to Toastmasters and our club, but provides you with someone who will be your personal cheer leader to keep you moving forward.

You will receive the Toastmasters magazine every month as a part of your membership and an email from our VP of Membership which will help acclimate you to our club.
